The oldest library of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province



The Church Mission Society (CMS) with the assistance of Sir Herbert Edwardes, the British commissioner of Peshawar, established Edwardes College in 1900 in the most beautiful part of the Peshawar Cantonment. The college started its educational services in 1900 in the province, and today it is one of the top educational institutes. One of the main assets of Edwardes College is its library. This is the oldest library in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan and subscribes a good number of magazines, journals, newspapers for its users. It is centrally located in the main Arts Block accessible from all sides. Library Clipping provides newspaper clips related to important events mostly happened at Edwardes College. This library has some Manuscripts which are handwritten and dates back 100 years.
